Sessions at the Presidio is a "New American Public House"- a convivial restaurant where friends and family come together and share seasonal small plates, craft beers and craft cocktails. The name "Sessions" comes from the British term "session beers". The story goes that during WWI in England, munitions workers had to take long breaks between double shifts. Those breaks were often taken at the local pub where the workers enjoyed multiple pints of ale along with lunch and lively conversation. In order to still be in working condition after the "session", the workers would partake of the lower-in-alcohol but still very flavorful ales available. Hence, "session beers". This treasured moment in time, when friends gathered together to share in great food, libation and conversation, is what has inspired our restaurant. The cuisine at Sessions is focused on seasonal small plates intended for sharing. Our menus feature produce from Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. The fresh meats and seafood served at Sessions are always naturally raised and sustainably harvested. And of course there is the beer. With about 100 different craft beers, including 24 draft offerings, as well as on occasion, our own brew, beer lovers are sure to find a perfect beer to pair with the delicious cuisine. Cheers!

OMG, The best french fries I have ever had in my life. they sound like thick cut/steak fries but they are so amazingly crispy! Great service at the bar, really good beer selection too!

So gooooooood, the service, the food, the atmosphere. Everything was was amazing. Happy hour has a fantastic menu with many options for food and drinks. Next time we come into town we will be going back.

An oasis in the heart of the city. A great patio with a view of the Golden Gate surrounded by the magnificent Presidio grounds. Happy hour at 2:30 with $5 wine and $2 oysters. Cheese plate was very good. Blow off the afternoon like I did.

Delicious hidden gem. Food and service were fantastic. The appetizers from 3:30pm? to 5:30pm have some tasty offerings. The meatballs are amazing. Great beer selection.

Great restaurant in an area with very few (non-existent) other options. The restaurant is huge so it's easy to get a table even at busy weekend times. But, they don't have so many staff to serve all those tables and you might need to wait until they could get someone to serve a table. The menu is rather limited but most plates are good or great. The momoa is overpriced, my glass was so empty you'd think someone has already started drinking it. Their service is generally friendly. Sessions is the obvious restaurant choice whenever I visit the Palace of fine arts and presidio park.

Very popular hangout place for many who work and live in and around Presidio. Great drinks, small plates and beautiful atmosphere for a hangout after and during the work. Great service and good number of drinks makes it ideal for teams to chill and mingle.

The service was six star. Everyone was beyond attentive with all our needs. The food left my companion and myself lacking though. All the ingredients were amazing but the execution of the dishes was subpar. My companion had the spaghettoni dish that lacked flavor and salt. I had the fried chicken that was alright. The fries had a lot of seasoning, were very crispy and flavorful. The dessert was the highlight of the meal. I'd go back just for that.

Listen, I can’t speak for any of the other dishes (hence the 4 stars), but the burger is incredible and their bar is really impressive. It’s got a lot of seating and all of the staff are great. Give it a chance if you’ve got the money to spare, and play it safe with the burger and a nice whiskey.

This is a very special place. They have an amazing, talented chef and cheerful wait staff. During "regular times" you can go and sit on their lovely patio, enjoying the Presidio while having a craft cocktail and tasty bites. Now, with the Shelter-In-Place Order, I am so grateful for Sessions. Call Door Dash for delivery. Sessions has innovative items, such as their Make-Your-Own Pizza or Pasta kits, which gives you homemade(!) delicious pizza dough or fresh pasta, and your choice of a vegetarian sauce or Margarita toppings, or house-made bolognese or marinara sauce. Each kit is $10! Unbelievable price for such high quality, home-made, tasty delights, and it's fun to make your own pizza or pasta -- excellent if you have bored kids at home who need something manageable to do. Highly recommend their Fish & Chips, Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich, Sessions Burger, and their Organic Greens salad. The menu changes often, depending on what is fresh and in-season.

Stopped by for a quick bite and to use the bathroom. Drinks are a bit pricy, but happy hour prices are great if you can make it for that. Oysters were delicious. A beer and four oysters plus the service charge was $28 on a Sunday afternoon.

They have a nice location with a large outdoor patio that is particularly nice on warm evenings. Their food was enjoyable and was plated well. This restaurant needs a good manager to come in and show them how to operate. There was plenty of staff but most did nothing except stand around. Service was very slow because none could take even a drink order except one waitress for the whole patio. Lot of miscommunication too going on.

Comfortable atmosphere during a lunch seating around 2:00. Host staff seemed a bit out of their depth. Wait staff very attentive although missed the aoli dip for the fries which is a must have. Pricing was on the high side for lunch IMHO.
